Humanities & the ArtsUW professors to run summer seminars abroad

The National Endowment for the Humanities has chosen two faculty members at UW-Madison to run two of the ten Summer Seminars for College and University Teachers:

  • Walt Schalick, professor in Medical History and History of Science, is offering a seminar on "Disease in the Middle Ages" in London in conjunction with Monica Green of Arizona State University .
  • Christopher Kleinhenz , Emeritus professor of Italian, is offering the seminar "Dante’s Divine Comedy and the Medieval World: Literature, History, Art" in Italy.
