Two professors from the School of Music will be teaching students of a much broader age range than usual when they report for duty at Grandparents University on July 16.
Teryl Dobbs, assistant professor of music education, and Anthony Di Sanza, associate professor of percussion, will spend two days with about 10 children and eight grandparents leading activities such as Latin percussion/drumming, composing with Garage Band software and basic conducting.
Dobbs and Di Sanza designed this music “major” for this summer’s session and it has proven to be very popular.
