L&S News & Notes is a monthly e-mail update and blog for faculty, staff
and graduate students in the UW-Madison College of Letters & Science.
Letters & Science is 39 departments, five professional schools and more
than 50 interdisciplinary research centers — the Heart of a Great
University.
News & Notes helps showcase the many good things happening in L&S.
Our goal is to communicate our research and education activities,
accomplishments and recognize faculty, staff and students. Like
the college itself, News & Notes is interdisciplinary, full of variety
and representative of a quality liberal arts education.
If you have news to share, please email them to
LSNews. We'll post your news on the web as soon as
we can. Please also see the Tips for Submitting Notes.
Once a month, we will pick five TOP STORIES from the college and send
an e-mail update to all registered subscribers. To be qualified for a
TOP STORY, submit your news by the third Friday of the month.
Our upcoming deadlines are:
- October 23rd
- November 20th
- December 16th
All of our news is searchable. News & Notes is also
archived by each month. You may also navigate News & Notes by field
category (i.e, "Social Sciences") or individual department, unit or
research institute.
